Fabrice Bourrigaud, Director of Culture and Heritage at the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, places the events in their historical context and sheds light on some truths. While the film Le Mans '66 (2019), starring Matt Damon and Christian Bale, introduced this story to millions of viewers, Hollywood took some liberties with the facts. Here, there's no script: only the reality of a merciless duel between Enzo Ferrari, the brilliant creator of Scuderia Ferrari, and Henry Ford II, determined to humiliate the Reds on their own turf. The documentary concludes with a moving finale dedicated to Ken Miles, the ill-fated driver of the 1966 season, and his son Peter, a rare and poignant tribute to a man unjustly forgotten.
