Off Grid Luxury Home, Abandoned Deep in the Forest | Destination Adventure

The Chilcotin has been full of so many beautiful surprises. Glorious views, untold history, pristine lakes and rivers, and a surprising amount of abandoned places. Getting to explore the alpine around Perkins Peak was an amazing experience, but I wasn't going to leave without getting myself up to the summit. This was a big hike, but it is worth every single step when you get to see the views from the top. In fact, the views are spectacular the entire way up, but from the top you can even see Mt. Waddington, the highest point in British Columbia. It was an exciting moment for me to finally make my way to the peak and sign my name in the book, but after five days in the alpine, I was ready to make my way back down. A couple of years ago, I was told about a beautiful off grid log home, in a very remote location, that shortly after completion had been abandoned. The property still remains in the owners name, but it has not seen a visitor in nearly twenty years. The home was built almost to completion when the owner had passed away, and for whatever reason the family has not shown any interest in finishing the build. This is an absolutely beautiful home, in a world class location, but it is quickly becoming reclaimed by mother nature. I hope that the family will come and enjoy this beautiful property and bring the house back to its rightful glory.
