At the facilities of the Honduran Council of Private Enterprise (COHEP), representatives from the private sector, the Executive Branch, and the Legislative Branch concluded a working session to finalize the draft of the new Hydrocarbons Law. Alberto Bográn, coordinator of the COHEP committee, reported that the document is 95% complete and aims to establish clear rules for the entire distribution chain, guaranteeing quality and fair prices for the end consumer. For his part, Congressman Erick Alvarado, president of the Energy and Mining Commission of the National Congress, affirmed that there is consensus among the political blocs to approve this initiative, which will regulate operational aspects such as the granting of permits and the establishment of service stations.
