Florida eye doctor allegedly killed ex-wife after years of abuse, $250k divorce settlement

Two months after being ordered to pay his ex-wife over $250,000 in a divorce settlement, a Treasure Coast eye doctor allegedly shot her in the head—ending what detectives describe as years of stalking and abuse. On July 15, Stuart ophthalmologist Dr. Richard Seith allegedly shot his ex-wife, Spirit Airlines Flight Attendant Cynthia Sciarrone (Seith), in the head on the sidewalk outside of her Greenacres condo just before midnight. According to the arrest report, Dr. Richard Seith not only works at Treasure Coast Eye Specialists, 1441 SE Ocean Blvd. in Stuart, but he also owns this business. Patients of ophthalmologist Dr. Richard Seith, who were coming to his office in Stuart for appointments on Monday, found it hard to believe he's been arrested for first-degree murder in the shooting death of his ex-wife, Cynthia Seith, a Spirit Airlines flight attendant.
