Our Spiritual Adventure. The Last Word.
The Last Word. When two people are arguing, there is often a struggle to be the one to get "the last word" into the conversation. Why? Because it gives a sense of victory. The Apostle John gets the last word. He is not arguing with anyone. However, WE tend to argue about what he wrote . . . but that is missing the point. The Book of Revelation is intended to remind us of a singular truth: The Creator, the Lamb who was slain, is on His throne. Chaos and rebellion does not change that fact. The purpose of God are unalterably established. We have confidence and courage not only because of God's faithfulness in the past (HIStory), but also in the future yet unknown by us. It is certain and sure. John doesn't want us to focus on what will be when, but on the WHO - the One always present.
