Ride Along with Sgt. Cairns During Traffic Enforcement on I-75 (3-10-26)

Here is a portion of a ride along with Sgt. Cairns, the supervisor of the Traffic Services Unit, as he was part of traffic enforcement on I-75 in Dayton. This is just a portion of his time monitoring speeds and other violations on I-75. The focus of these operations is about safety and education. I-75 is the most frequent location for crashes in Dayton and speed can have a significant impact on the severity of those crashes. Drivers who were cited were going nearly 20 miles per hour over the speed limit. The Dayton Police Department is also working to educate the community on the law regarding use of cell phone while driving.
