The story begins with a dramatic plane crash into the ocean. A infant boy miraculously survives the wreck and is rescued by a young wild dolphin named Snowball (and his dolphin mother). The marine family adopts the human baby, raising him beneath the waves.Growing up, the boy believes he is a dolphin. He lives an idyllic, carefree life, learning to swim flawlessly and entertaining the local marine life with playful tricks alongside Snowball. The peaceful underwater kingdom is thrown into chaos when a villainous, power-hungry Evil Octopus seizes control of the sea. Seeing the human boy as a threat or an anomaly, the octopus banishes him from the ocean, forcing him onto dry landStranded on the shore, the boy faces the harsh reality of a world he doesn't understand. Having never walked on legs, he experiences hilarious and challenging slapstick adjustments to gravity and human customs. He is taken in by a compassionate, kind-hearted old sea captain. While on land, the boy discovers a locket from the original plane wreckage containing a photo of his real mother.
