Silicon Road: Engine Openings! The Cobra Sicilian - Part 1!

This video is in our Engine Openings series! While preparing a preview of the Varsity Chess Match, I analysed a lot of the openings played by the Oxford and Cambridge players. I was very interested by the openings played by the Cambridge player Gwilym Price, in particular his use of the Cobra Sicilian (1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 e6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 Nc6 6.Ndb5 Bc5!?) with which he'd had a couple of interesting games (one a draw against English IM Gary Lane at the 2022 British Championship). I spent quite a long time analysing the Cobra Sicilian and now the match has been played (a thrilling 4-4 draw!) I thought I'd share the analysis with you!
