124ci Breakout Build / A.P.E / DYNO / Platinum Air Ride / 23'' Turbine Wheel

This blinged up Breakout rode in with a stage 1 kit & stock rear suspension at 70hp & left with over 110hp & close to 140ft/lbs of torque. I was very excited to try out this 234a Cam shaft from COMP Cams & it did deliver!!!! Great torque early on & holding very strong through the mid range, proving to be a great street engine for plenty of get up go! As always, the Vance & Hines big radius 2-2 pipes hold these bigger bore kits back as much as 18hp in some cases, so if I get the chance to try this engine combo again but with a D&D Lowcat or something similar, I would expect at least a 15hp increase in power. Still running stock cylinder heads & a stock intake manifold, the power increases from the M8 engines are far beyond the Twin Cam engine. Platinum Air Ride is in my opinion the best air ride suspension system for the M8 Softail Range. The ability to adjust the rebound of the air shock makes it feel just like a normal shock. The added benefits of 100% custom pre-load, ride height & rebound adjustments are essential to ANY air shock system so you're not left with a 'pogo stick' or 'balloon' feeling rear end.
