Autism Family Takes an Autism Friendly Vacation to Myrtle Beach, SC!
#sponsored When @VisitMyrtleBeach invited our family to spend a few days in Myrtle Beach, SC we couldn’t have said yes fast enough! I had heard that Myrtle Beach is an Autism Friendly vacation destination and Gabe loves road trips so what could be better? We packed our bags and drove 7 plus hours to Surfside Beach! When we checked in to @surfsidehotel we received the Autism Travel Digital Card previously known as the CAN Card from @championautismnetwork4681 which is the organization that is about to change the lives of families touched by autism! CAN’s vision is to create a world where all people living with autism CAN live, work, and play without judgement, guilt, or worry! Sounds good to me! The Autism Travel Digital Card gives members a discount, but better than that, it allows you to not have to wait on long lines at restaurants and other businesses. You show the card and the staff is notified that your family may need support. The employees of the businesses that participate are trained by CAN in how to support families like ours! This is what makes Myrtle Beach the most autism friendly place I’ve ever been to! We literally had the best time from the minute we arrived! Check out my two highlight reels to see everything we did! The first night we went to dinner at @rivercitycafesc where Gabe felt instantly at home! Great burgers and music on the beach! The following morning we were ready to win the morning by having breakfast at @johnnydswafflessurfside The chef is the parent of a nonverbal autistic son. We loved it there as well as the many autism friendly restaurants in the area! @tupelohoneycafe @angelosteakandpasta @the_golden_egg_pancake_house @thehangoutmb to name a few. We had the best day ever at @thehangoutmb where we got to eat and dance! We also did some fun activities! First we went to @ripleysmyrtlebeach which was a lot of fun! We got to go mini golfing, and GoKarting @broadway_grand_prix I cannot believe how much there is to do at Myrtle Beach, there is something for everyone! We truly enjoyed having the time to appreciate the gorgeous beaches too! On our last day and night we spent it at Murrells Inlet. A must see!
