On the 24th of April 1964, the Government issued its’ first press release for the signing of a tender for the building of the Batman Bridge. This film features John Crook interviewing Minister for Lands and Works Mr D.A. Cashion, Public Works Director Mr R.C. Sharp, construction footage, interviews with builders and opening of the bridge.
