The accused—Chinu Haripa, Kalia Nayak, Chhotu Nayak, Babu Landa alias Santosh Nayak, and Rohit Haripa—were allegedly operating a brown sugar trafficking racket from illegally constructed houses. According to the source, the accused allegedly attacked two youths after they opposed the drug trade, resulting in the death of Tofan Bindhani while Shubhendu Sethi sustained serious injuries.
