Lifan KPT 400 - New Sprocket = Better Highway Ride? Test Ride - 15 tooth Front

I swapped out the front sprocket on the Lifan KPT 400 to lower the RPMs at highway speeds—and this ride is the full test and verdict. This was 1 tooth up on the front (going from a 14 to 15 tooth). Also along for the ride - Rob on his new to him KLR 650 for his first test ride. TLDR? Go buy one, it makes everything better. The result? Lower cruising RPMs, smoother highway performance, and it still kept plenty of bottom-end grunt for everyday riding. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade for anyone planning longer rides or just looking to make their KPT more comfortable on the interstate. You'll need a powerful impact and a 30mm socket (link below).
