Building A Custom Swing Set! Pt. 1 // Lift Arc Builds

Tay's cousin in contacted him a few weeks ago to see if he would build her a custom metal swing set and monkey bars for her back yard to keep her boys entertained. After she negotiated for the "friends and family discount" the build was a go and the material was ordered, time to get to work! Some of the benefits of building a swing set / playground out of metal are: durability, stability, ease of assembly and transport, easy reassembly if you need to move it, and (perhaps most importantly) her boys have NO CHANCE of breaking it like a cheaper, store-bought version. In this episode, Tay takes you along for more of the ride than usual, working through most of the math required to make this angular design and some of the more specific fabrication techniques he uses to get the job done.
