Harmonic Convergence: "Wild Mountain Thyme": Alan Doyle Quartet & Bandits On The Run, Royal Oak MI
Putting this one up here all on its own (it will pop up again in the longer show vid later) especially for all of us - and I am definitely a member of this group - who miss those soaring a cappella harmonies that Great Big Sea used to do so amazingly well. Here, Bandits On The Run (Regina Strayhorn, Sydney Shepherd & Adrian Enscoe), the vocally spectacular openers for most of this leg of the Already Dancing Tour, join Alan, along with his BBBmates Kendel Carson, Cory Tetford, and Todd Lumley (hence the AD Quartet) for a blissfully beautiful rendition of this classic Scottish folk tune (which still makes me think of the excellent film Sinners...IYKYK - and Alan's skull shirt is perfect!) (apologies to Todd for not getting him in the pic, but he did make the vid) Royal Oak Music Theatre, Royal Oak, Michigan. May 2, 2026
