We released a quick report on this in a short video on October 31st (2025), but we'll explain it in more detail here. This is a copy of a castle plan that is said to have been handed down through the Sakai family, lords of Himeji Domain, and is thought to have been drawn during the Enpo era (1673-1681). To date, very few documents related to Sunpu Castle's main tower have been found, and none that show the building's structure (a circular tower with turrets at the four corners and a main tower inside) are particularly rare, making it extremely rare. This is a valuable document that provides clues to understanding Sunpu Castle and its main tower, which was built by Ieyasu in 1607. It will be open to the public at the Shizuoka City Museum of History from Wednesday, January 7th to Sunday, February 15th, 2026, so we hope you will come and see it. Please note that the excavation site of the Sunpu Castle ruins' castle tower base and the "Cassiru Excavation Information Center" will be closed on Friday, December 26, 2025, due to construction work for new facilities. 02:33　Approx. 61m x 68m ⇒ Approx. 63m x 69m Excavations conducted over six years from 2016 to 2022 revealed that the castle was even larger.
