Motorguide Xi3 kayak trolling motor with pinpoint GPS (spot lock) STERN MOUNTED!? Install and Test

I researched a long time to try and find someone who had attempted to put a GPS trolling motor in the stern or back of a kayak and didn't find much. The few that said they did, voiced concern over the overcompensation that may occur as the motor attempts to pull the boat in reverse while it anchor locks or "spot locks". One of the main reasons I wanted in the back of the kayak when anchoring is so that my line will scope out in front me. Its much more difficult to get good hooksets when your forced to fish off to the side of your kayak as your line scopes out behind the boat. I ended up installing both a bow mount and stern mount using the quick release bracket screwed into 1" cutting board and then affixed that to my Hobie Compass 2021 using the power pole mount for the stern (rear). I also upgraded the rudder on the kayak to an aluminum one.
