How To Use XEvents Profiler (Extended Events vs SQL Profiler)

In this video we look at how to use XEvents Profiler and why it might be better than SQL Profiler! Historically we've always used SQL Profiler, but considering that is soon on it's way out (apparently) we are being pushed to use Extended Events so the battle commences - Extended Events vs Profiler!! But there need not be a debate. Extended Events is a fantastic tool which is more than capable of monitoring live data in a very similar fashion to SQL Profiler. In this video we go through how to use XE to trace data and show which columns are available to us. I've also covered it's limitations.
