1990s Critics Review Gargoyles, Bonkers, Darkwing Duck & TaleSpin on Genesis and TurboGrafx-16

A few months ago, we took a trip down memory lane by covering the Disney Afternoon Collection, which brought eight classic Capcom games to the Nintendo Switch for the first time ever. By popular demand, we’re back with a companion episode that looks at five Disney Afternoon games that were not included in the recent compilation. I’m talking about Gargoyles, Darkwing Duck on the TurboGrafx, Sega’s version of Bonkers and TaleSpin on both the TurboGrafx and Genesis. Yeah, those are definitely Disney games, but are any of them actually worth playing? To answer that question, I decided to flip through the pages of Electronic Gaming Monthly, GamePro, Turbo Play and more classic magazines that reviewed these games back when they first came out. I hope you’re ready to get dangerous, because it’s time for another animated episode of Disney Afternoon Review Crew. 0:00 – Introduction 1:06 – Commercial: TurboGrafx-16 Advert 1 (U.S.) 1:38 – TaleSpin (TurboGrafx-16) 4:55 – Darkwing Duck (TurboGrafx-16) 8:39 – Commercial: TurboGrafx-16 Advert 2 (U.S.) 9:15 – TaleSpin (Genesis) 12:19 – Bonkers (Genesis) 15:02 – Commercial: Bonkers Fruit Candy (U.S.) 15:36 – Gargoyles (Genesis) 19:55 – Commercial: Gargoyles toys (U.S.) 20:26 – Question of the Day Join our brand-new Discord Server:   / discord   Defunct Games is on Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/defunctgames...
