SUV equilibrato, ma come va in città? Proviamo Leapmotor B10

The Leapmotor B10 is a classic example of how the Chinese are changing the rules of the game in the world of electric SUVs, combining modern technology, space, and a truly sobering price. Imagine an SUV that's 4.51 meters long, almost 1.89 meters wide, and 1.65 meters tall: perfect dimensions for the European C-segment. It's neither too big for the city, nor too small for carrying the family or taking a Sunday trip out of town. The generous 2.73-meter wheelbase provides a truly airy interior, with plenty of rear legroom and a lovely amount of light thanks to the panoramic glass roof that extends almost 1.8 meters. The exterior is understated yet contemporary: clean lines, split headlights with the classic three LED daytime running lights, pop-up handles, and a rear end with a horizontal light bar... nothing that screams concept car, but a serious, modern look that looks right at home next to German or Korean models. As soon as you step aboard, the 14.6" floating central display immediately catches your eye, with 2.5K resolution and powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip (or even 8295 on the higher-end versions). It's practically the brains of the car: from there you can manage climate control, multimedia, navigation, 360° cameras, vehicle settings... everything. The LeapOS interface is fluid, supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and updates over the air. In front of the driver, there's a smaller 8.8" display for essential information. The mechanics are simple and effective: rear-wheel drive, a 218 hp (160 kW) electric motor, and 240 Nm of torque. Enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 8 seconds and to cruise peacefully up to a self-limited top speed of 170 km/h. There are two batteries (all LFP): 56.2 kWh for 361 km WLTP and 67.1 kWh for 343 km WLTP. Fast charging is a strong point: up to 160 kW in direct current, so you can go from 30% to 80% in about 20 minutes… numbers that are becoming the standard for the best electric SUVs in this range. Inside, you'll find almost everything you'd expect today from a car costing around €30,000 (often even more): heated and ventilated front seats (on the Design versions), heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, 12-speaker premium audio, full ADAS, door opening with your smartphone or NFC card… basically, it's all there is to it. The real "hit" is the price: prices start at €29,900 for the basic version with a smaller battery, and the fully-equipped version with a larger battery and all the comforts costs €33,400. In short, the Leapmotor B10 is one of those cars that makes you think the automotive world is probably changing.
