British D-Day veteran gives emotional speech in France
More than 30 veterans gathered at the British Normandy Memorial for the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Two veterans read from a poem and cited words from a famous war epitaph. After wreaths were laid, three cheers were given for the veterans. The Marseillaise was played, followed by God Save the King. During the British national anthem, the Red Arrows conducted a flypast with their red, white and blue colours.
