Investigators claim to have collected substantial evidence related to an alleged conspiracy involving fraudulent land registration worth nearly ₹4 crore. As the investigation intensified, reports suggest that Tammineni and his family allegedly vacated their rented residence in Amadalavalasa in the early hours of the morning and left the area secretly. It is also being reported that they avoided using their own vehicles and instead traveled in a private Innova to prevent attracting attention. Sources further claim that they left their mobile phones behind, allegedly to avoid police location tracking. However, these claims are based on reports surrounding the ongoing investigation, and the matter remains under legal scrutiny. The case revolves around allegations that the original owner of a valuable piece of land was falsely declared dead through forged death certificates while he was still alive. Investigators allege that a woman from Odisha was projected as the sole legal heir, after which the property was allegedly registered in the name of Tammineni Sitaram's son using fabricated documents. Authorities believe this was part of a larger conspiracy involving fake documentation and illegal property transfers. The investigation has already resulted in significant action. Out of the 13 accused identified in the case, eight individuals, including a Sub-Registrar from Hiramandalam, have reportedly been arrested and remanded to judicial custody. Investigators also allege that a group involving a former Home Guard and several other individuals operated as a land registration racket by creating forged documents and carrying out multiple fraudulent registrations over a period of time. Officials are now examining whether similar irregularities exist in other land transactions linked to the period when Tammineni Sitaram served as Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly during the YSRCP government. Authorities are reportedly expanding the scope of the investigation to determine if more illegal registrations were carried out using the same modus operandi.
