Audioline PT340 CB27/81 UK FM CB radio - extensive repair
This radio was kindly donated to me & belonged to the donor's late Father. Upon opening the set up, I was saddened to see the radio had been 'got at' & had received the kiss od death, in the form of an illegal 80-channel modification. After lots of time removing the modification & returnoing the set to factory standard, just three other parts needed changing. The reference crystal had dropped out of spec & luckily I found a used one. The cdeviation preset had been previously changed for a second-hand one & this was in a poor state. The correct type of 1K Skeleton preset was fitted. The tone switch capacitor had been removed so the switch could operate the illegal 80-channel mod instead. The 10nF Mylar capacitor was replaced with a new one. Recorded 6 & 7th February 2023 Richard G0OJF Lincolnshire, UK
