Divide all cells in the grid except for r9c7 (the grey cell) into groups of orthogonally connected cells. Every group contains exactly one cell with a white square. The digit in a square cell, N, indicates the number of cells in that group. N will either be the largest or the smallest digit in its group, and digits within a group may not repeat. r9c7 is not in any of the groups and may be any digit, but is still affected by normal sudoku rules. As an example, a square cell containing a 4 is in a group of 4 orthogonally connected cells consisting of unique digits that are all either at most 4 or at least 4.
