A trip to Silverton and Mundi Mundi lookout, New South Wales.
Today we visit to the village of Silverton, and Mundi Mundi lookout in New South Wales. It's a 25km 15mile drive from the outback town of Broken Hill. The Silverton population reached a peak of around 3000 in the late 1800's, after the discovery of silver ore. Today the village is a tourist attraction, with the Silverton Hotel and home to several artists with galleries in the area, as well as the Mad Max 2 Museum. Mundi Mundi lookout is a scenic viewpoint in the Barrier Ranges, looking west over the Mundi Mundi plains. It features in several scenes in the 1982 Movie, Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior.
