In August 2017, the time had come again. On a sunny Wednesday morning, I set off northwards from Karlsdorf-Neuthard on my bike. Although I had planned my intermediate and final destinations beforehand and considered several routes, I was very curious to see how this tour would unfold. I had exactly 15 days, including the return journey. Would I actually reach my planned destination? What would the weather be like? What would the road conditions be like? How many meters of elevation gain and kilometers awaited me?
