Phorcyas | Vincit Omnia Veritas

The mystical atmosphere of Salzburg has always fascinated me. With its ancient history, narrow streets, fortifications, Hellbrunn Park, Mannerist palaces with their trick fountains, the open-air theater, and, last but not least, the enigmatic Monatsschlösschen, which I always suspected was the unofficial headquarters of a secret society, Salzburg has always been the place of my dreams. Salzburg's culture is inextricably linked to W. A. Mozart. But it was probably the founding of the Salzburg Festival that led to that unmistakable, mystical, Magic Flute-like atmosphere that accompanies you at every turn here. This poem arose from the feeling of a walk across the Kapuzinerberg – past the Mozart monument, along mysterious walls, staircases, and stone paths that one can easily imagine had inspired Mozart's opera "The Magic Flute." The poem, musical setting, and video clip address the open secret that Mozart was a member of a Freemason lodge—and thus stood in a tradition that may still persist in Salzburg today… ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Voice You didn't suspect it when you were born. You were destined for life. Deep inside, in your heart, this seed leads you into life and also home. Listen, see, be silent. It is your destiny, a meaningful hum. A chorus of a thousand dreaming voices. Every day is a test, The night that follows is your purification. Order from chaos. ... You feel the threads, bound together by meaning. They are not things that twist and turn: From word to meaning and then to deed, Just as the poet's words say. What is superior is like what is inferior. Conspired signs, eternal runes, In which you waver, with enigmatic skill. It is yours, and yet not yours. Lux ex tenebris. Springs from the soul And makes yourself one, With your circle, other people. Thus you are, eternally dreaming or wishing. Truth conquers all. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 📍 Filmed on location in Salzburg ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗺𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘀 | 𝗽𝗼ë𝘁𝗮 From time immemorial, the mystical atmosphere of Salzburg has fascinated me.
