Pokemon Cards are continuing to boom beyond each ceiling - so what does that mean for Japan? live at   / okjluv   join our Discord ►   / discord   Hunting Vintage Pokemon Cards across Japan ►    • Building a Pokemon Card Binder in Japan   Support at Patreon! ►   / okjluv   Follow at Twitter ►   / okjluv   Follow at Instagram ►   / okjluv   Follow at TikTok ►   / okjluv   Aussies save 10% at Amazon with OKJLUV10 ► https://www.amazon.com.au/stores/Vaul... Japanese Pokemon Card stores have changed. Which shouldn't really be a surprise - after all, Pokemon Cards have gotten more popular than any of us could have imagined 30 years ago. But the last 2 years have moved...differently. It doesn't matter whether a card is Ultra Modern or Vintage, whether it's a PSA 10 candidate or a Yellow Sticker card, whether it's eSeries or Diamond Pearl and Platinum - practically overnight, cards are doubling, tripling and quadrupling in price, reaching new all-time highs. But at the same time, those cards are become tougher and tougher to collect - not because there are fewer of them in Pokemon Card hotspots like Den Den Town, Nipponbashi - but because the ceiling keeps getting higher. What were once easy cards to add to your Pokedex or Artist binder are now the next heavily pumped "investment", destined for a Mystery Pack. In Osaka, it feels like there are more cards than ever before - which frankly, defies logic. But whether those cards are reaching pure Collectors, or the glass cabinet of a Vendor, is becoming harder to tell. I'm trying to work out whether these movements are natural, and whether the best Japanese Pokemon Card stores can keep up with the mounting pressure from international (and local) opportunists. It's new ground from me, and I'm still learning how to tackle it as I go - but for as long as I find this interesting, I'm gonna keep visiting Japanese Card stores to find out how much further things can change in Japan. #pokemon #pokemoncards #japan #japanesepokemoncards #pokemonpackopening #pikachu
