Bakhtiyarpur Junction Redevelopment Work Progress | Bakhtiyarpur Station ‎@localinfobyts Railway development work is underway at Bakhtiyarpur Junction. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Project, the station will be renovated with modern amenities. The station will be equipped with improved waiting halls, new platform sheds, modern lighting, digital information boards, escalators, elevators, sanitation, and improved entry and exit routes for passengers. The plan aims to provide railway stations in small and medium-sized cities with world-class facilities. More importantly, a major project to double the railway line from Bakhtiyarpur to Tilaiya has also been approved. This approximately 104-kilometer long project will cost approximately ₹2,192 crore. This will significantly increase train capacity on the Bakhtiyarpur, Rajgir, Nalanda, and Tilaiya routes. Additionally, preparations are underway for four-track and multi-tracking work on this route, which will ensure faster and safer train operations in the future. Currently, this route faces problems with train congestion and crossings, but with line doubling and additional tracks, train delays will be reduced and the introduction of new trains will be easier.
