Taiwan Railways West Coast Line Qingshui ⇒ Tongxiao 臺鐵縱貫線 清水 ⇒ 通霄

The journey aboard the Taiwan Railway Local train from Qingshui to Tongxiao. The west coast line has two routes in the mid central section of Taiwan, the 'mountain line' which passes through Taichung, and the coastal route built during the steam era for through trains to avoid the steep gradients between Zhunan & Taichung. The mountain line was later rebuilt with easier gradients and duplicated with the majority of traffic taking that route instead of the coast route which is single line in some sections.
