Satın Almayı Bıraktığım 10 Şey (Minimalizm + Para Biriktirme)
The 10 things I stopped buying are in the video. Ultimately, the purpose of all of these is to save time and money. I've shared the things I no longer spend money on as much as I can with those who want to save money and achieve their financial goals. Instagram: / sahinue Twitter: / emirusahin Of course, there are reasons for this: being a minimalist helps achieve financial goals. I've realized that we spend too much on the things I'll list in the video, and we don't actually need them. By cutting these things, we can save more money, invest more, and buy the things we need more. As you know, that's our goal with this channel. I've tried to cut unnecessary expenses my entire life. Sometimes, the smallest changes can have a huge impact on your life and help you save more money. Discounts and Shopping I know from friends who go to the mall and say, "I bought a 600 lira item for 200 lira, and I made a 400 lira profit," even though they don't need it. In my opinion, you didn't save 400 lira; you spent 200 lira, and your bank account is 200 lira less than it was yesterday. My view is that just because something is on sale doesn't mean you're making a profit. If I need something, I'll just go buy it. I don't think it's worth worrying too much about it. Sugary and Carbonated Beverages The annual per capita consumption of carbonated drinks in Turkey is 170 cans, so we can say that a Turk consumes a can of carbonated drinks every other day. This explains why many Turks struggle with constant health problems. Sugar damages brain cells, causes many diseases, and on top of all this, it takes money out of your pocket. I usually only drink water, but we don't really need much else. Books I stopped buying so many books. I used to buy books all the time, only reading one, and the others would stay on the shelf. What I've started doing now is that I still read a lot. Reading is a wonderful thing and a perfect financial investment. Someone can rob you, steal your money, and you could go bankrupt, but no one can take the knowledge in your brain. If you invest in yourself, you can overcome any situation. Even if everything is destroyed, you can rebuild. Gym I used to go to the gym, but I stopped going because I thought it was too time-consuming and because I could afford it myself. If you're not training for a bodybuilding competition, if you have a doorway pull-up bar and a few weights at home, you can work out on your own. Food We actually talked about a bit of a strange topic on the channel about why you should cook your own meals instead of going out. Everyone deserves to eat better and experience different places. But there should be limits. Eating out every day is bad for both your wallet and your health. Instead, it's much better to reward yourself by eating out at certain times, depending on your financial situation. Reducing Transportation Costs If you look at the things you spend the most money on in your life, accommodation, food, and transportation are in the top three. If you can use public transportation and don't drive much, you can sell it. Or, you can buy a more affordable car. If you need something urgently, you can take a taxi. Car prices have skyrocketed in our country, but you're not just paying for the car; there are also a lot of expenses, including insurance, insurance, inspection, and fuel. When I don't go out of town or to the airport, I spend an average of 100 lira per month. It saves me a ton of expenses and leaves me with more money. Hotels This is a personal preference, but I've noticed that most Turkish families spend thousands of lira on hotels for a week, spending 5,000-10,000 lira just on the hotel. That's not really my style. If I'm traveling, I can spread the 5,000-10,000 lira over the weeks by wisely buying a plane ticket and choosing Airbnb over hotels. Subscriptions First, check for any subscriptions you don't use. If you have services from your phone provider you no longer use or subscriptions you're no longer interested in, be sure to cancel them. Check your mobile phone company's best rates and call them to negotiate. Don't Invest in Things You Don't Understand The same rules apply to investing in real life. I don't invest in things I don't understand, so I don't invest. For example, let's take cryptocurrencies. I'm not a cryptocurrency expert. Many people told me to buy Bitcoin, some made money, some lost. But for now, I'm not an expert on digital currencies. Until I understand them, I won't make any investment decisions. When investing, be sure to understand the system. Research what I'm investing in, how private pensions work, how stock prices are determined, and what happens when the dollar rises. Some investment instruments create bubbles because people invest blindly.
