Italy's Volcano Next to Rome; The Alban Hills

Only 20 kilometers southeast of Rome in Italy is a little known volcano that may one day erupt again. What I am referring to is the Alban Hills, a cluster of calderas, vast maar explosion craters, and cinder cones which intermittently erupted for more than 500,000 years. While this volcano today is dormant, having not erupted in 35,000 years, it still clearly has an at depth magma chamber present. Today's video will discuss this volcano through the opinion and analysis of a geologist.
