The best part and main reason for this design is the shipping is very easy. Packed snuggly into a box it can ship cheaply via UPS. The smaller traditional box also keeps packing waste down while still protecting the blank inside. Years ago I wanted to build large surf and paddle boards, however the shipping was more than the blank itself... well here is the solution I have come up with.
