Real Robot Battle Line (PS1) Playthrough - Part 12 - Encounter (Perfect Play)

Playthrough of Real Robot Battle Line Roche Route for the PS1 part 12. In this part i will be taking on the Encounter map after making sure everyone is setup correctly. First i double check the parts equipped in my party and do 2 upgrades on the Energy of the Original L-GAIM so that it has at least enough energy to be able to use its Buster Launcher and i change Leccee and Amu’s Mechs around. In the beginning this map will only have Generic Pilots with 1 of them on a Zock while all the others are piloting Goggs now and for all intents and purposes, its much weaker compared to the Zock. At first this map seems completely free but the catch is once turn 3 comes around or all initial enemies are destroyed, the enemies will have reinforcements which will actually consist of most of your previous party members and they will be the Commanders for this map which goes as follows: Allen, Jerly and Fei on Vinruvees, Glen Dawkins on his Choir Hi-Boost, Georgie George on her Choir Cannon, Show Zama in the Bilbine with Cham as the Copilot, Marvel Frozen in the Dunbine, Ryu Kobayashi in the Gun Tank and Sayla Mass in the RX-78 Gundam. In the very beginning, the strategy is to advance with Daba and Musica as much as possible as the enemies cannot hit them both while the rest of the party is on a safe sot behind so that they do not get targeted. The goal here is to ambush my former comrades spawn with the L-GAIM MK II Buster Launcher for that sweet extra money with the Good Luck command active. Now one thing to keep in mind is that Musica will have the “persuade” command available for most of the them however, no matter what happens in this map, Sayla, Ryu, Show, Cham and Marvel will join after this map is over while the rest will not but still have the persuade command available so that the game tricks you into thinking they will join. If you think this map is too hard, then with Musica you can Persuade either Sayla, Ryu, Marvel or Show and these 4 will join you early in this map but, i don’t do that because this means i can earn extra money by destroying them and kee in mind that both the Gun Tank and the RX-78 Gundam have the Emergency Exit Ability which means when they are destroyed, a Core Fighter will replace the original Mech in the same tile which means more money for me by destroying it as well. Its better to destroy all the Aura Battlers in as soon as possible then work on the others. Glen and Georgie offers the most money upon destruction here but i only have one remaining Good Luck command due to lack of points so i have to choose either one of them. As expected Show’s Bilbine is the worst opponent possible followed by Georgie’s Choir Cannon as she is quite tanky but Daba with the Buster Launcher can hit Show guaranteed by using Concentrate. After that the rest of my party can help eliminating the remaining Goggs and the rest of the Commanders. Once this map is over you rejoin with the main party for the most part and will have access to the Mechs you had before like the Dual Gun Cannons and the such. I check the parts equipped and while now it’s a good time to spend all this money that i have, I save the game as i will have to check whats the best course of action before committing to upgrades.
