To EQ Or Not To EQ, Or Is EQ Taboo? Should You Use An Equalizer Or Tone Control?

This is a surprisingly complex question that Andrew Welker, Chief Product Officer, answers in this video. Considerations are all about audio quality, but the answer is not just a straight up yes or no to using an equalizer or tone controls. First and foremost, additional processing in the audio signal path is not a good thing. You may think that means the EQ is taboo, but as always, there are exceptions to the rule.
