On the Eve of Chinese New Year, Taoist devotees flock to Lorong Koo Chye Sheng Hong Temple to receive the God of Wealth (财神). This is an annual ritual performed by devotees to receive good fortune and prosperity for the year ahead; for their families, career, and personal wealth. The grand ceremony is performed by a distinguished Taoist Master, who leads the devotees in receiving the God of Wealth.
