The fifth release from their sophomore album ‘Happy Accidents’, Mazes continues Larsen's promise of a new music release every month. Says the band about the song: “Mazes” is about confronting uncertainty for the first time, when everything around you is shifting and the path forward feels unclear and overwhelming. It's one of those rare songs that came together quickly and almost effortlessly, with the emotion cutting through even in its earliest form, shaped heavily by the impact of hearing “Asymmetry”, a shoegazey banger by Melbourne band Wayside, at just the right moment. Written during a wave of sadness, it became a deeply cathartic song, capturing that feeling of being lost inside your own head while trying to find a way out. It’s a raw and vulnerable track, one that hit so close to home that for all of us, at least once, it's brought those emotions bubbling to the surface while developing the song.
