Ustad Yusuf Ali Khan (1887-1962) was a master sitarist as well as a renowned sitar maker of his time located in Lucknow. He was trained by his father Bhondu Khan and Ustad Abdul Ghani Khan of the now extinct Dhrupad Gharana of Kalpi. His sitar workshop was in the same house as legendary Ustad Sakhawat Hussain Khan´s family and they were close peers and exchanged many old compositions.
