In this video, I've explained the astable mode of 555 timer IC. Astable means there is no stable state in the OUTPUT, i.e. it always changes its state from HIGH to LOW or LOW to HIGH. In astable mode, the 555 timer puts out a continuous stream of rectangular pulses having a specified frequency.
