Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 Gameplay

Sega's Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 Gameplay. This is hot off the presses. Just released today. I own this game on PS5 Pro, but never got far into it. Never bought it on Switch 1, so this is my chance to get to play it handheld. For those who do own it on Switch 1, sadly there is no upgrade path. You have to buy the whole game over again... It's hard to say how "definitive" this version is. They don't even add "Definitive Edition" in the thumbnail on the home screen. It looks a little rough still in performance mode (though the framerate looks like a locked 60fps). The graphics mode looks sharper, but we're down to a locked 30fps by the looks of things. The draw distances look really good, but both modes are still riddled with pop-in as you'll see. In fairness, even the PS5 version still suffers from this. I switch between performance and graphics modes a couple of times in this video so you can compare. Hopefully a PS5 Pro enhanced version is coming. That said, it'll probably be full price rather than a patch or upgrade path. I'll have a side by side comparison video coming of this and the PS5 version coming soon...
