🧠 Stop Being Run by Your Thoughts | Therapist Shares How

Do you ever feel like your thoughts are running the show — and you’re just along for the ride? We have around 6,000 thoughts a day, and for most of us, very few of them align with who we actually want to be. Left unchecked, our minds can spiral into worry, rumination, judgment, and self-criticism. In this video, I share a powerful yet simple 3-step acronym (N.A.P.) to help you create space between you and your thoughts. When you learn to notice, allow, and point your mind where you want it to go, you begin to take back control — and step into the driver’s seat of your life. I also open up about my own meditation practice (including a funny cat-related thought spiral 🐾) and what my teacher told me when I thought I was “failing” at meditation. Spoiler: I wasn’t. ✨ Inside this video you’ll learn: Why you don’t need to “stop thinking” to benefit from meditation How your automatic thoughts shape your life without you realising it The difference between judgment and discernment The N.A.P. method to free yourself from unhelpful thought loops Why meditation builds the muscle of choosing where you focus Whether you’re new to meditation, struggling with racing thoughts, or simply curious about how to stop being run by your mind, this video will give you both insight and practical tools. 👉 If you’d like me to record some guided meditations, let me know in the comments — I’m thinking of creating more! #mindfulness #meditation #thoughts #selfawareness #mentalhealth Get in touch with me: https://thebingeeatingtherapist.com/
