WINE CELLAR TOUR EP. 2

In our Cellar Tour videos, we visit fellow wine lovers and tour their wine cellars. In this episode, we visit Mark and his wife, Tara, who built a gorgeous wine cellar around their formal dining table. Mark, who is a self-made entrepreneur, grew up in northern California and started visiting Napa wineries long before the valley became a travel destination. When B presses Mark on the question, we discover that Mark started taking dates to Napa who he really wanted to impress! Mark’s cellar holds about 4,000 bottles and is constructed of wood and steel. We learn about some of the unique and beautiful wall coverings, racking, and the wood selections. In addition, we take a peek behind the scenes at the cooling units and backup power system. B learns the hard way that the cellar is protected with a lock using biometrics. So much for going into the cellar without Mark’s supervision! Mark and Tara share their favorite wines and “daily drinkers”, and Mark takes us through some of the Napa wineries he believes are “up and comers”. Always the perfect hosts, Mark and Tara open a few of their go-to reds while Pops and B are fascinated by Mark’s new favorite toy – the Alpina. At the very end of the video, we see how Pops brought a bottle of wine he was pretty sure Mark didn’t already have in the wine cellar. Was he right?
