We forage these after the first frost, then make them into a simple, old fashioned jam with just berries, honey, lemon, and water. Super simple + beginner friendly canning, these make great gifts for the holidays and perfect toppings for wild hens. HOMESTEAD RECIPES LINGONBERRY JAM 8 C berries 3 C water 4 C honey 3 tbsp lemon Boil water + honey 5 min. Add berries & lemon cook 15 min or until jammed. -Fill washed jars to 1/4'' headspace, check for air bubbles, wipe rims, finger tighten lids on. -Process 15 min in water bath. SOURDOUGH FLATBREAD 1/2C discard 1 C water 1 tbsp salt 2 C flour -Mix stater, water, salt. Add flour + knead until smooth. Divide into 4, knead into balls. Stretch and fry in tallow or butter until golden.
