Misterios de la Materia, una aproximación a la ciencia del patrimonio desde las colecciones del MAN

June 11, 2026 Nayra García-Patrón Santos, Head of the Conservation Department at the National Archaeological Museum (MAN), and Emilio Cano Díaz, Research Scientist at the National Center for Research and Development (CENIM-CSIC), curators of the exhibition. The science of heritage has experienced unprecedented expansion in the last two decades, opening new horizons in the research and conservation of cultural assets. From a multidisciplinary and interinstitutional perspective, and through the expertise of renowned specialists in various fields at the national and international levels, this conference aims to be a meeting place to address the new perspectives of the present and the challenges of the future in this essential field for building knowledge and fostering the appreciation of our heritage. The National Archaeological Museum and CENIM-CSIC wish to highlight and disseminate this knowledge through the exhibition "Mysteries of Matter: Heritage Science in the MAN Collections."
