Day 3 of our trip and the Argentinian police stopped us at a checkpoint. We visited Cerro de 14 Colores (Hill of Four Colors) and it's the most beautiful thing to see. Located in the province of Jujuy, in northern Argentina, the Quebrada de Humahuaca is a valley with a desert climate and Andean mountains – with characteristics similar to the Bolivian Altiplano and the Atacama Desert in Chile. The Quebrada de Humahuaca has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Cerro de 14 Colores is 28km from this city. It's 28km of dirt road with few potholes, easy access, and worth every inch of the journey. We finished the day in Tilcara at Hostel Waira (El Vasco). The hostel of a seasoned motorcyclist. It was an incredible day, full of beautiful landscapes. Route 9 is sensational, Tilcara is magical, and Cerro de 14 Colores impresses with its magnitude. The Humahuaca ravine has a unique charm with very welcoming and receptive people. Route 73 is fantastic, its 28km of off-road terrain is impressive.
