20260531 주일예배 / 이스라엘이 그의 백성에게로 돌아갔더라 / 창 49장 29절-50장 26절 / 김형욱목사
1. Israel goes up to the Promised Land through Joseph Gen 47:28 Gen 49:33 Gen 48:15-16 Gen 50:1-3, 7-11 Gen 49:33 Gen 50:7-9, 13 Ps 116:15 2 Cor 5:8 Philip 1:22-24 John 14:2-3 2. Israel is completely forgiven through Joseph Gen 50:15-18, 19-21 Heb 10:12, 14 Eph 1:7 John 2:1 Rom 8:34 Heb 7:24-25 Heb 9:28 1 John 3:2-3 Gen 50:25 49:29 He commanded them, saying, “I will return to my ancestors; bury me with our forefathers in the cave in the field of Ephron the Hittite.” 30 This cave is in the field of Machpelah, before Mamre in the land of Canaan. Abraham He bought the field from Ephron the Hittite and made it his burial place. 31 Abraham and his wife Sarah were buried there, and Isaac and his wife Rebekah were buried there, and I also buried Leah there. 32 This field and the cave in it were bought from the Hittites. 33 Jacob finished giving instructions to his son, gathered his feet on the bed, and breathed his last; and he was returned to his people. 50:1 Joseph bowed down to his father’s face, wept, and kissed him. 2 He commanded the attending physician to cover his father’s body with incense, and the physician did as Israel said. 3 It took forty days, for it takes this many days to cover with incense, and the Egyptians mourned for him for seventy days. 4 When the time of mourning was over, Joseph spoke to Pharaoh’s palace and said, “If I have found favor with you, please tell Pharaoh: 5 My father made me swear, saying, ‘When I die, in the tomb I have dug in the land of Canaan...’” He said, “Bury me; let me go up and bury my father, for I will come again.” 6 Then Pharaoh said, “Go up and bury your father, as he made you swear.” 7 Joseph went up to bury his father, along with all of Pharaoh’s officials, the elders of Pharaoh’s court, and all the elders of the land of Egypt. 8 Joseph’s whole household, his brothers, and his father’s household went up with him, leaving only their young children, their flocks of sheep, and their herds of cattle in the land of Goshen. 9 Chariots and horsemen followed Joseph up, and the flocks were very large. 10 They came to the threshing floor of Atad, across the Jordan, and there they wept and mourned greatly, and Joseph mourned for his father for seven days. 11 When the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land, saw the mourning at the threshing floor of Atad, they said, “This is great mourning of the Egyptians.” So the place was named Abel-Mizraim, which is across the Jordan. 12 Jacob’s sons, and their father to them He did as commanded for him. 13 He carried him to the land of Canaan and buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in front of Mamre. This was the place Abraham had bought from Ephron the Hittite, along with the field, to be a burial place. 14 After Joseph had buried his father, he returned to Egypt with his brothers and the bearers. 15 When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, “May Joseph hate us and repay us for all the evil we have done to him?” 16 They spoke to Joseph, saying, “Before your father died, he commanded: 17 ‘Tell Joseph this: Though your brothers have done you evil, I beg you now to forgive their faults and sins.’ Now, please forgive the sins of us, the servants of your father’s God.” And when Joseph heard what they said to him, he wept. 18 His brothers came in person and fell down before Joseph, saying, “We are your servants.” 19 Joseph said to them, "Do not be afraid, for I am in the place of God. 20 You intended to harm me, but God turned it into good, so that I might save the lives of many people, as it is today. 21 Do not be afraid, for I will provide for you and your children," he said, comforting them with kind words. 22 Joseph lived in Egypt with his father’s family and lived one hundred and ten years. 23 He saw three generations of the descendants of Ephraim, and the sons of Machir, the son of Manasseh, were also raised under Joseph’s care. 24 Joseph said to his brothers, "I am about to die, but God will look after you and lead you out of this land to the land He promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob." 25 Joseph also made the children of Israel swear, saying, "God will surely look after you, so you shall carry my bones up from here." 26 Joseph died at the age of one hundred and ten, and they placed spices in his body and placed him in a coffin in Egypt.
