Mustafa Said playing Sebastian Stenzel Oud "alQani"

This beautiful recording was made on Mustafa Said's balcony in Cairo, with only a phone with a Shure microphone attached. Here are Mustafa's comments on this taqsim: "Nahawand, in Ottoman theory some writers refer to this mode as "Eski Nehavent" to differ it from the modern one, which is near to Arabic Ushshaq. Yet, in the Mashayekh theory, this is Nahawand with no reference to old and modern, since the other is still under the topography of Ushshaq.
