They state he’s lazy and doesn’t know the meaning of work because he doesn’t have a conventional job, misuses his power like when he kidnaps Belle’s father, kept many secrets about his life and is fairly helpless because he can’t even eat with a spoon. On top of all that they claim, he is unstable and abusive towards Belle and their relationship only blossomed because she was a helpless prisoner and he needed someone to love him to break his curse. Gaston on the other hand. Ooo. Now that is a gorgeous and muscular man: proponents claim. In the pro-Gaston community, Gaston is a man who is willing to be himself and share his thoughts. He’s a hard working provider, who can decorate and cook for himself, who is also popular and fun in his village’s eyes. He protects those he cares about seen through him bringing up arms against those he deems a threat, and even though he has many suitors available to him, he’s ready to commit to Belle alone. Whenever he can he plans romantic gestures for Belle and is even ready to start a family. Gaston seems like the perfect manly man I’m sure many people desire.
