The Theatre Machine Reunion at the Royal Court Theatre

The docu-series, On Keith: Artists Speak on Johnstone & Impro, presents the launch of Season II with this inspiring and powerful documentary short. In 2017, this reunion happened on the main stage of London’s Royal Court Theatre, where Keith Johnstone and his Theatre Machine, Britain’s first improvisation troupe, got their start. The On Keith series creators, Theresa Robbins Dudeck and Alicia Robbins, were able to gather three of the original Theatre Machine members and two additional performers who were frequently invited to perform with the troupe for this last Theatre Machine reunion with Keith. This rare docu-short on Theatre Machine will have its world premiere on Keith's birthday, February 21, 2025, here on the On Keith YouTube channel! Johnstone’s pioneering work as a groundbreaking director and teacher of improvisation continues to influence practice within and beyond traditional theatre worldwide.
