Transpennine Express full journey Glasgow Central to Lancaster 29/05/2025

Journey onboard 397012 as the 1M73 0744 Glasgow Central to Lancaster (originally Liverpool Lime Street) calling at Lockerbie, Carlisle, Penrith North Lakes, Oxenholme Lake District and Lancaster, where it got cancelled due to a problem with the overhead wires between Lancaster and Preston. As a result, it did not continue to Liverpool and ended up doing the 1Z40 from Lancaster back to Glasgow Central. Next time I do a 397 I'll definitely do the route between Liverpool and Glasgow provided it runs at least! Luckily I wasn't going back to London that day! For some reason whenever I go on a 397 something goes wrong, starting with the disabled toilet not working followed by a signal failure at Carlisle as well as problems with the overhead wires between Lancaster and Preston. Back in February I didn't do the return journey from Glasgow Central to Manchester Airport due to disruption caused by a landslip between Carstairs and Lockerbie so I ended up going back to London via the ECML.
